The Teleidoscope is device similar to a Kaleidocope that uses a lens instead of a wheel of colorful objects to convert anything in it's field to a kaleidocsopic image.

The Teleidoscope was invented by John Lyon Burnside III, (1918-2008) who also invented the optical mathematics that make the kaleidoscope possible. John and his husband Harry Hay were early gay rights activists in the United States and helped organize the first Pride Parade in 1966. The two also formed one of the first gay rights groups, Circle of Loving Companions and in the late 1970's The Radical Faeries. John's contribution to optical science continues to fascinate and bring joy to both young and old alike.
